Salary Band: Grade 3, £22,524 - £24,482 per annum
For this role, appointments are usually made at £23,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Guideline Centre (NGC), a multi-disciplinary health services research team mainly funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the position of information specialist assistant or information specialist, dependent on experience.
If you have related experience we would be delighted to hear from you. The NGC produces evidence-based clinical practice guidelines on behalf of NICE, specialising in guidance for acute and chronic conditions across a wide and varied range of topics. The NGC also provides research support to a number of external commissioners. The information specialist team is made up of a head of information specialists, one full-time and two part-time information specialists, two information specialist assistants, and this post: information specialist assistant or information specialist (depending on experience). If you would like to build and expand on your knowledge in searching, participate in high level quality guideline development, and would like to work in a non-library based professional environment where you can learn and develop, please apply.
The successful candidate will receive training in our systematic searching methods. They will attend guideline committees, work with specialist technical teams, support the document delivery service and participate in methodology projects. In addition they could provide training to NGC staff or on our external courses.
