We are currently recruiting for a IT technician desktop

This is 37 hours a week

We are looking for an individual with experience of working with Microsoft Office systems to support our Customer Experience team in the production and analysis of varied reports.

To effectively carry out the role, it's essential to have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. In particular pivot tables and the use of basic formulas.

The role to support the team covers the following tasks:

· Data Entry

· Manipulation of Data from a variety of sources.

· Identifying trends and issues from collated data.

· Production of basic reports.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Level 1 Business Support Officers will be expected to provide a range of business support services which will include some or all of the following:

Be the first point of contact for telephone and personal enquiries, supplying information and directing matters as appropriateProvide guidance and assistance to colleagues in respect of the procedural aspects of financial and administrative systemsMaintain diary, arrange, confirm and minute meetings/workshops as necessary including travel and booking arrangementsSupervise Business Support Assistant (s)Check and process timesheets and prepare payroll and all associated records. Monitoring annual leave and sickness formsCheck invoices and claims against contracts and other forms of authorisation and process these for payment and maintain all associated records. Word processing and creation and population of spreadsheets which may include establishing systems for recording and monitoring complaints and co-ordinating production of reports and information. Arrange and minute meetings, compiling agendas and undertaking associated administrative work and follow up action Assist RBOs in monitoring and checking budgetary records including the updating of commitment records within spreadsheets and to provide managerial information and statistical and other returns as requested.Collect charges due to the department by rendering accounts issuing receipts and recording and banking of incomeAssist with the operation of petty cash and other accounts and to ensure the correct maintenance and control of these systems and associated recordsMaintain a log of all incoming and outgoing mail, distribute appropriately and ensure timely follow up and response preparationMaintain confidential records and an efficient filing system.To carry out such other responsibilities and activities as can reasonably be required in accordance with the grade and nature of the post.The specific range of tasks will be dependent on the job context.
  • IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE DUTIES Level 2 Business Support Officers will be expected to undertake most of the following (the undertaking of one Level 2 task is not sufficient to warrant a Level 2 grading):

    Research and co-ordinate information/data for the production of reports and service plansDevelop and set up office systemsUse advanced word processing, spreadsheet and emailing skills (including complex document formatting skills, complex formulae and complex diary management)
