We have a great job opportunity to join a well established company on a permanent basis as a Credit Controller. A company based in Sheffield are looking for a Credit Controller to join their Finance team.
You will hold a key role and be responsible primarily for credit control functions. This job is a key role within the credit control team and will be dealing with a number of high spend, high volume customers.
To ensure cash collection is achieved and customers payments obtained by agreed terms through the maintenance and control of the sales ledger. Responsibilities Cash Collection targets are achieved through various methods of collection with the customers.
To work to set KPIs as set out by the Credit Manager.
Queries are maintained and reduced systematically. Day to day credit control and administration duties are carried out.
New accounts verified and actioned To work to set credit policies and procedures.
Working with sales and customer service to meet and maintain targets.
To be able to reconcile accounts and resolve account queries been incorrectly charged.
Technical Skills Strong Excel skills essential, including vlookups and pivot tables.
Able to be assertive with both internal departments and customers.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to negotiate with customers.
Previous Credit Control experience is essential
Ability to work towards and achieve deadlines.
Personal Skills Able to work well as part of a team or on own initiative.
Possess good self-motivational skills.
Good organisational skills to prioritise work load.
Excellent Excel skills.
Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Able to reconcile large quantities of data Strong IT skills and an understanding of or experience in a fast paced commercial lead environment are desired for this job.
