Skills Alliance has been exclusively retained by a fast-growing, innovative biotechnology company focused on the development of immuno-oncolytic viruses for revolutionary new cancer treatment.

With their primary product showing immense potential in current clinical trials, they aim to become world leaders in the field with three products in trial phases by the end of 2018.

Based on site in Oxford, the role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of analytical development for their products. Responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing a small team for the creation and development of techniques required to characterise immuno-oncolytic viral products

- Communicating with external testing labs supporting technical transfer and validation of methods developed

- Participating in the invention, qualification and development of cell based, biochemical and immunochemical methods required to support the manufacturing of the company's products

- Authoring and review of relevant technical documentation adhering to GMP Guidelines

The position requires extensive technical knowledge and ability to develop cell-based assays and other bio/immunochemical techniques. Experience adhering to GMP regulations in addition to performing technology transfer, validation and stability studies, is required. A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant discipline is necessary.

In addition to offering a clear-cut pathway for career growth as the organisation is set to expand, a highly competitive salary of between £50,000 - £60,000 is on offer. The package include a 10% target bonus, private healthcare, contributory pension scheme and many more flexible benefits.
