We are currently looking for a NPI Scientists across a range of levels to join a global Biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. As the NPI Scientist you will be responsible for supporting the transfer of manufacturing processes in either upstream or downstream processing between Development, Pilot and Manufacturing.


Your duties as the NPI Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will represent Manufacturing Science and Technology within multiple customer product project teams using a standard methodology/procedure to successfully transfer both defined as well as complex process stages either into USP or in DSP operations from development through to cGMP manufacturing.

2. Work cross functionally to ensure relevant transfer and communication of critical process and technical information such that projects meet the required deadlines/customer outcomes.

3. Participate in daily cross-functional meetings to remove barriers and ensuring a right first time' approach to manufacturing.

4. Lead the introduction of new raw materials to support manufacturing of products within pilot and GMP facilities.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the NPI Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological Science / Engineering discipline or similar along with industrial experience working on development, transfer or manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.

2. Proven industry experience working within a GMP facility will be highly desirable.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with supporting GMP quality records (Deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls etc.) is very advantageous.
