We are retained by a global innovative market leading manufacturer of Plumbing and Bathroom solutions who, due to continued success, are seeking to recruit a professional AREA SALES ENGINEER to join their external sales team.

Our Client’s products are high quality and competitively priced. They are therefore seeking a Candidate with the ability to capitalize on their success to date further develop their business within the UK marketplace.

The Role

Responsible for managing activities to maximize profitability through sales of Group Products by meeting the demands of new and existing customers.Driving forward the business strategy to develop new business opportunities through Distribution and Merchant channels.

Key responsibilities

·Ensure that agreed company top line sales revenues and profits margins are delivered in line with company budgets, this is to be achieved by the implementation of a proven and successful pull through sales strategy.

·Conduct full product training sessions with trade counter and other relevant staff members of the branches of identified national merchants within the territory incorporating open invitation product demonstration mornings for merchants’ customers.

·Form close working relationships with all influential staff members of branches of national merchants in order to identify key end user target customers.

·Devise and implement sales call plans working in conjunction with the relevant merchant in order to sell our clients range of products to those identified end users.

·Ensure all nationally agreed promotional activities are fully implemented at local level within the designated post coded area.

·Work in conjunction with the UK Sales Manager in order to devise and implement promotional activity specific to the designated post coded area.

·Identify potential new end user business to implement the Company’s pull through sales strategy.

·Establish our clients brand as the number one preferred choice of professional plumbers and installers.

·Gather intelligence on competitors’ activities and product development.

·Implement effective and efficient journey and time management.

·Attend as required, trade exhibitions and thoroughly follow up all generated leads.

·Previous sales in a customer facing role, whether internal or external.
