Accounts Supervisor or Manager job vacancy at niche music accountancy practice in Central London

Your new company
Your new firm, based in Central London provides accountancy (tour accounting, royalties and other), taxation and advisory services including business services and solutions to its clients. The firms' clients largely operate in the music industry with a host of famous names on its books.Whilst being a leading specialist in the music industry the firms' client base covers many other talent-led industries, including film, TV, theatre, sport and publishing.The partners of the practice have been providing such services for in excess of 25 years. Most of their clients have been personally recommended, reflective of their reputation as leaders in their field.The office is situated in the heart of London in striking distance of the West End and the City.

Your new role
You will be Supervisor or Manager providing direct support to the associate director and partners. You will manage the affairs of a portfolio of the firms' clients preparing touring accounts, financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns and tax returns whilst supervising the work of assistant accountants and a bookkeeper. You will be extremely technical in your ability but pragmatic in your approach, dealing with tasks in a sensible and realistic way. You will be required to interact on a daily basis with clients in the office or at their premises building strong and lasting relationships.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in practice which is ESSENTIAL. You will have experience of supervising the work of and training junior members of staff. An understanding of accountancy software packages including Sage 50, Xero and CCH Accounts production is preferred. You will be technically sound, competent in MS Office Word and Excel, meticulous attention to detail with good people and communication skills. You will have the ability to work well under pressure with excellent time management skills.
