Quality and Standards Officer to Audit and Compliance Manager

£28,111 per annum

Blackburn College provides higher education to more than 3,000 students within a dedicated University Centre, making the College one of the largest and longest established providers of higher education in further education in the UK.

Located in the Quality and Standards Office, you will have experience of working with a variety of awarding bodies and the various methods of quality assurance employed across the section, in relation to awards and qualifications. Reporting to the Audit and Compliance Manager, you will be familiar with working in the Further Education sector and operating within a quality and/or standards framework.

You will have experience of audit and inspection preparation, both classroom based and work based, as well as apprenticeship provision. Knowledge of audit inspections and analysing research findings to make evidence-based decisions is required, together with the ability to audit internal systems and processes. You will need a UK Honours degree or NARIC recognised degree in a relevant discipline and be a strong team player with excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. You must also be able to act with tact and discretion. You will have the ability to work under pressure, have excellent planning and organisational skills and have an excellent eye for detail.

It is essential that you are able to work in a structured and proactive way and are able to use your relationship-building skills to enhance the knowledge and understanding of quality and compliance within Blackburn College. A relevant UK or NARIC recognised Postgraduate qualification is desirable.
