2nd Line / 3rd Line / Support / Citrix / XenApp / Windows Server / Virtualisation / VMware / Hyper-V / Liverpool

My Client, a market leading organisation based in Liverpool have a requirement for a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer working on a night/day shift pattern to join their expanding team.

The Role:

Acting as an escalation point for 1st line queries along with assisting the Infrastructure and Network team with a number of projects you will be a key member of the IT department.

Investigating escalated incidents quickly establishing the root cause, issue workarounds and resolutions using change control where appropriate.

Management of escalated incidents, sharing knowledge with 1st and 2nd Line teams

Daily checks and proactive system monitoring/housekeeping

Escalate priority issues in a timely manner, when identified

Working on a rolling shift pattern: Four days in (Two days followed by two nights), four days off, this will be repeated five times, you will then receive fourteen days off.

The Person:

You will be technical minded and enjoying working under pressure, along with experience working with the below:

Citrix XenApp
Windows Server administration and configuration
Active Directory
Virtualisation - VMware/ Hyper-V

Working knowledge of ITIL
