Controls Engineer

Given our ambitious and exciting growth plans for the future we are looking for experienced and high performing Control Engineer to join the business to oversee and assist with the installation, commissioning and continuous development of control for our brand new manufacturing facility based at Ansty Park Coventry.

The role

LEVC is developing a new range of extended electric hybrid Taxi which will be built in a brand new manufacturing facility at Ansty.

We seek a high-performing individual with the drive, energy and capability to manage and develop all control systems within the facility, whilst also supporting and assisting all departments on these systems. Ultimately, this role will be reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer and will be responsible for resolving technical issues within the relevant production area. Responsible for:

  • Overseeing the installation of production lines and control equipment
  • Liaising with a range of external contractors installing machinery in the new facility
  • Working with Robots, PLCs, HMIs and Data recording systems and making changes within them
  • The continuous development and improvement of production control systems
  • Ensuring smooth flow of Automated production lines
  • Providing technical support and coaching to the maintenance team
  • Developing PPM and TPM schedules for production machinery

  • Ideally qualified to HNC standard or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

  • Significant experience in a controls environment
  • Experience working in robotics (preferably ABB)
  • Knowledge of PLC programming preferably Siemens S7
  • Experience working in automated product lines
