Business Analyst, 6 month Contract, Paying up to £700 per day, Blue Chip Financial Services Company based in Moorgate, London

Purpose of the role:

To provide business analysis expertise for the company's Investments Projects. The two specific projects involve changing the proportion by which business entities are able to invest in Life Time Mortgages (LTMs), and developing enhanced functionality within an existing Excel application.

This is a contract role to provide specific business analysis and business process implementation expertise to support the project objectives and deliverables. The individual will be supported by the project manager and the business resources assigned to the project.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Lead the business analysis of both projects to determine and publish the required target operating model.

Define and document the detailed business processes required to support the operation of the changes in project (arising as a result of the reallocation of investment in LTMs). Processes will include but not be limited to;

Financial reporting (asset reporting)

Accounting

Valuation

Capital reporting

Ensure that suitable risk controls and financial reporting features are incorporated into the operating model solutions of both projects

Work with the business teams to embed the processes of both projects to ensure they are fully operational before the changes go live

Define and document the detailed business requirements, system processes, technical design and other relevant system documentation required to support the Investment team’s Excel based Pricing Tool

Ideal Background:

Understanding of the Solvency II (2) regime, including capital reporting processes

Understanding of the Lifetime mortgage product would be beneficial

Exposure to asset restructuring and/or investment projects beneficial

Extensive experience of process engineering, systems analysis and target operating model definition

Experience writing instructions, specifications, developing use cases and creating workflows.

Able to coordinate requirements walkthroughs and sign-offs

Experience working across project phases including testing and implementation. Ability to contribute to project plans, develop test cases and support testing of software systems

Strong business analysis skills.

Ability to analyse and understand detailed requirements and translate into solutions

Highly competent use of Microsoft Visio

Experience of both Waterfall and Agile Methodologies

Experience of working in the Insurance / Financial Services sector
