We are delighted to offer the position of; Buyer for luxury fashion and giftware with our high-end retail client who owns many iconic and prestigious brands. This is an exciting time to join an established fashion house with a forward-thinking attitude. They are looking for experienced individuals who have previously worked in a similar role who can develop ranges to maximise sales and profit, aligned to brand market position/value.

Person Profile:

You will be someone who thrives when given autonomy, sales focused and have the ability lead, manage and develop teams to help our client to achieve their organisational goals and objectives. In addition to this the individual must be comfortable with and have experience of managing people. The main objective of the successful candidate will be to harness business strategy and implement this across all their brands to maintain the brand quality, and therefore the achievement of fundamental sales and KPI’s.

Responsibilities:

·To develop the product ranges and presentation in line with the agreed product strategy, brand and store values, ensuring the ranges represent the agreed image.

·Analysis of historic data and trends to plan and implement product strategy to meet agreed sales and margins.

·Working with the sourcing manager to develop strategy for margin growth.

·Drive the front end product development strategy and implementation ensuring progress of sampling/fabric/pricing in line with required dates.

·To develop products and presentation of suitable promotional and ‘deal’ products

·Working with design, visual merchandising and marketing to ensure effective planning and implementation of window strategy/visuals/photography, range manuals, layout guidelines.

·Ensure continuous review of product performance and trends to maximise sales and margin.

·Ensure a thorough knowledge of the stores/competition/opportunities/threats through store visits and detailed market study.

·Provide effective management, evaluation and development of the supplier base

·Support of line reports

·Manage budgets and cost control
