Change Public Practice are working with a leading Chartered Accountancy Practice in Glasgow to assist them in the recruitment of a Newly Qualified Auditor for their commercial audit team. This role is for someone who has significant audit experience working with mid-market corporate organisations and who has previous experience of leading a team of juniors. Responsibilities: You will work as part of the team, leading on-site audit teams, effectively providing a hands-on compliance and/or advisory role that exceeds client expectations Prepare or review work papers and drafts of the financial statements Allocate work to other members of the audit team, ensuring associates understand their responsibilities and have received excellent on-the-job coaching preparing or reviewing work papers and drafts of the financial statements Produce commercial management reports, specifically drafting sections of the report to management Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion Requirements: Must hold a full professional accountancy qualification i.e. ICAS / ICAEW / ACCA etc. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained from a similar Public Practice environment i.e. Big 4 / Top 10 / Mid-tier practice Must have significant audit exposure working with mid-market corporate clients in addition to experience of being in charge of a junior audit team and worked under UK GAAP / FRS 102 You will have experience of working on complex audits and delegating workloads accordingly Team fit is essential to this appointment so the type of person that this client is looking for is: someone who takes a genuine interests in each individual client; someone who appreciates the value in their work and who always strives for improvement; and someone who has the ability to seize opportunities, both for business and own personal development
