Job Description Summary Here at Lonza, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised Technologist with experience in Analytical Services to join one of our fast moving, dynamic, world leading scientific teams...

The successful applicant for this position will be joining an exisitng team within Stability at Lonza, based on site in Slough.

The technologist will be responsible for performing analytical assays including spectrophotometry, electrophoresis (e.g. SDS PAGE, CE SDS, icIEF) and HPLC (e.g GPC, IEX, peptide map) for the purpose of assessing the stability of therapeutic proteins.
Job Description Key accountabilities in this role will include, but not be limited to:

•Performs experimental work independently, in a safe and compliant manner.
•Plans and completes assigned tasks within the required timeframe
•Liaise with operators and study directors to close out technical review of assays.
•Interpret data against specifications and identify trends within data
•Communicate progress and escalate challenges to Line Manager and/or scientific lead as appropriate
•Work collaboratively in a team to ensure business, regulatory and customer needs are met.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile:

Anyone applying to this role should be;

•HND/BSc in relevant scientific discipline or relevant previous experience
•Preferred area of study: Chemistry / Biology
•Demonstrated experience of working in a contract research environment / a range of analytical methods
•Theoretical knowledge in the principles of a range of analytical methods
•Able to make quality decisions based on the best available scientific data.
•Desire to learn and willing to impart knowledge
