HVAC Engineering Manager - Burton

We have an extremely interesting role for an HVAC Engineering Manager, to manage the engineering function within the Burton HVAC facility and the resources under that function for a world leading sub-systems supplier to the Rail Industry reporting into the Site Business Manager, Burton, and the Engineering function in Melksham.

As the HVAC Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Manage the HVAC Engineering resource in terms of allocation to projects and developing skills.
  • Develop HVAC products in line with customer requirements.
  • Produce engineering requirements based on customer requirements to ensure cost-effective developments.
  • Understand validation requirements of developments at the black-box and white-box level and apply appropriate testing strategies based on unique requirements of current development.
  • Provide quotes of engineering effort required based on customer requirements that can be used by the Sales Department.
  • Work in conjunction with the Quality Department to improve and maintain development processes for HVAC.
  • Resolve technical issues with HVAC units in the field by identifying root-cause.
  • Customer facing representative of HVAC Engineering, able to discuss progress and issues with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are applied within the team.



Professional experience and qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree/HND.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to travel within Europe for extended times when necessary.
  • Experience in developing/maintaining HVAC systems.



Benefits:

  • Salary - £35,000 to £50,000 negotiable dependent upon experience
