AGILE DEVELOPER – 1 Year Placement 2018/2019

During your placement, you’ll be working with experienced developers on our flagship products and services, with the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of our development, including:

Highly performant APIs and web servicesScalable messaging systems and protocol layers communicating with network operators around the worldElegant web applications used internationally by tens of thousands of usersMission critical internal systems used by internal stakeholders that need near real-time updatesWithin a highly collaborative environment you will be actively involved in continuously improving yourself and your team. You’ll be creating software that you and your team can be proud of. Typically, software you write will be delivered and sat in front of real customers within a week.

We embrace XP practices such as TDD/BDD, pair-programming and refactoring and with our mandate of continuous improvement we typically:

Run regular coding dojos, technical presentations and guided learning sessionsDedicate time for research, innovation and learningRegularly focus on improvement in team retrospectivesOn your placement, you will be treated as a first-class team member, sharing the team’s responsibility for delivery across the full software development lifecycle. You will also be given the same opportunities and benefits as any other member of the development team.


No experience other than a relevant undergraduate discipline is necessary. We provide full training in the art of professional software development through daily hands on pair programming with other team members.
