A Chartered Accountant is required on an interim basis by a Renfrewshire-based manufacturing organisation. The Company The employer is an international group of companies and is among the largest and most successful in their market. They have plans to continue their expansion into new markets which will no doubt lead to new opportunities within the team. The Role This role is an initial Fixed Term Contract for at least 9 months and you have a varied workload covering 2 UK companies (and subsidiaries) as well as reporting into the Group. You will be the first point of contact for financial matters in the UK entities, reporting into the Group CFO with dotted lines into the UK MDs. Responsibilities Production of Management Accounts for your allocated businesses Collation of company accounts and submission to Group Management of audit requirements, production and filing of statutory accounts Oversee a small team of finance staff Management of cost accounting, stock control, stock provisions, amortisation of demonstration stock Management of company payroll, pension scheme administration, tax obligations etc Oversee the Accounts Payable & Receivable and Credit Control functions Other ad hoc tasks as required On Offer Initial maternity cover contract for 9 months (from Dec 2017 / Jan 2018) and may be extended beyond that depending on the needs of the business. The salary will in the region of £40k. There may also be permanent opportunities either within this role, or elsewhere in the business. Some travel to the English sites is to be expected periodically so a driving license would be preferred. Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to hit the ground running from day one. Therefore, demonstrable experience of a similar role is essential.
