This role provides key medical input to an impressive pipeline of assets in Oncology and Haematology with an exciting launch expected in the next two years.

Launch expected with Haematology Oncology within the next two years.

Also contributing to a marketed Oncology drug


This is a new position which will have responsibility for ensuring the execution of the medical strategy and tactics are in place for related Oncology products.

Reporting to the Medical Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for initiating, developing and delivering medical and scientific input to therapeutic brand teams which will optimise and achieve the objectives for assigned pipeline and products within Oncology

You will work collaboratively with other key internal stakeholders and with reference to external benchmarks and regulations, providing leadership and acting as a specialist resource for medical information activities.

To support and productively challenge the development of such objectives where clarity is lacking.

Medical Marketing

Provide medical input to activities for the therapeutic brand teams including the planning, preparation and approval of:

- Strategic business plans
- Internal and external scientific product presentations
- Publication plan development and implementation
- External meetings, advisory boards and symposia
- Promotional and scientific materials

Medical Affairs

Provide internal medical support for maintaining relevant product literature and developing / updating the relevant databases to ensure an informed, consistent and aligned corporate strategy.

According to the Medical Affairs plan, provide medical support to other members of the medical department and other departments to support the activities of those areas in the maintenance and pro-active progression of the business.

Provide medical input to training materials and delivery of events to ensure accuracy of content

Clinical Research

Be proactive in generating ideas for studies and identifying areas where research, new data and new materials may be beneficial to the Company.

Support the Clinical Team in delivering their trials. Provide medical advice to the company in relation to company sponsored clinical research and investigator sponsored research.


You will be a fully GMC registered medical graduate with pharmaceutical industry experience in a medical advisor capacity within oncology (ideally haematology)

Demonstrable understanding of ABPI code of practice

Willing and able to undertake regular UK/European (25-30%) travel and International travel (including staying away). Able to drive: valid licence
