The Role

We’re looking for an Associate Director of Paid Media to develop and oversee integrated cross-channel campaign direction, delivery and performance for a portfolio of our top tier clients. This requires in-depth knowledge of the capabilities of paid search, programmatic display and paid social marketing platforms and experience directing a top tier account in at least one of these channels.

The role requires a thorough understanding of a client's business needs and goals to ensure these are met and any future opportunities are raised.

You will oversee the management of teams within your division, and be responsible for personnel development and performance assessment for staff within your division.

Life as an Associate Director of Paid Media at Merkle

  • Overall ownership of the day to day client delivery relationship for Tier 1 clients cross channel accounts and being the face of the internal team.
  • Proactively working with the channel leads to maintain a strategic overview of cross channel activity on Tier 1 clients.
  • With the wider agency client team, owns the collaborative relationship with other agencies and external partners involved with their client(s).
  • Ensure that our account delivery, service levels and performance to the client is industry leading.
  • Working with the Client Service Partner to recognise new service & growth opportunities.
  • Work with digital media channel leads to ensure optimal resource across clients.
  • Analyse data trends and client performance to develop solid strategic client account plans.
  • Accountable for thought leadership activity both with the client and internally, putting forward new topics of interest.
  • Both inspire and challenge the client with innovative and digital first marketing solutions.
  • Ensure effective communication internally on cross dept. teams and across the client, media owners and agency partners.
  • Ultimately responsible for the overall delivery of, and client satisfaction in, their portfolio of accounts.

What we are looking for in you

  • Experience within a digital media agency function and/or a digital media vendor/ad technology platform.
  • Previous experience coordinating cross media strategies and media plan execution specifically including programmatic display and social as well as exposure to paid search.
  • Excellent presentation skills and a confident communicator with all seniority levels building relationships, both internally and with C level clients.
  • Practical experience in managing and developing a team alongside directing delivery strategy.
  • A good understanding of digital capabilities and what they offer the client and customer including; Paid Search, Analytics, Programmatic Display, Paid Social etc.
  • Ability to project manage delivery campaigns end to end.
