Your new role
They now require a Data Manager to lead and motivate a small team of Data Analysts to manage the delivery of data for their UK retail stores and Online business. Initially on a 6 month fixed term contract basis, you will be required to maintain the retail data so as the Buyers, Marketers, Pricing and Supply Chain teams can make business critical decisions that have a direct impact on sales. You will be accountable for the delivery of retail data and promotions including data enrichment and maintenance. You will be dealing with internal and external data queries effectively and thus you will gain exposure to a wide range of departments within the business.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience of Retail data set up and maintenance along with a good understanding of retail operations, trading, promotions and supply chain. Ideally you will have some experience in the use of retail systems such as EPOS and it would be hugely advantageous if you have had exposure to SAP. Over and above that, you will have some exposure to people management and possess strong communication, organisational and influencing skills. Ideally you will be immediately available or be on a short notice period.
