An opportunity has become available for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our New Product Introduction Department within the Software team. The purpose of the Software Test Engineer role is to contribute to the testing and documentation of software programs as part of the product development.

The successful candidate must have either a degree in a Computing, Science, Engineering or Mathematics subject or equivalent experience.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have an understanding of Software design methodologies, notably Agile and Scrum software design principles;
  • Have experience of working with Microsoft development tools: Team Foundation Server, Test Manager, Visual Studio;
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as the embedded tester within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Have the ability to work under their own initiative;
  • Have experience of working with test automation processes.
Manual software testing experience is essential, preferably working with desktop applications, however training will be provided as necessary. An understanding of Windows programming in C#, Visual Basic, C++ or any scripting language using Object oriented methodologies would be an advantage, as would an International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) qualification (or similar).
