My client, a leading food manufacturer based in Northamptonshire, is currently recruiting for 3 new engineers to join their busy team.
Following a successful transition from part of a larger group into a smaller private business, this client has grown very quickly, and as such they are looking to expand their engineering offering by hiring three electrically-biased multi-skilled engineers to join the team on a shift rotation basis.

Hours - 4on/4off - 12hr days (6am - 6pm) + 1 set of 12hr nights (6pm - 6am)
Salary - £36-39K

Reporting into the Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the engineering workload to ensure optimum performance of the machinery and plant onsite, supporting the business in its maintenance related activities including planned and preventative action, project related tasks and general repairs to machinery.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Complete Planned Preventative tasks to a good standard
- Identify issues with plant, and raise known issues to ensure that these problems can be dealt with prior to a breakdown occurring
- Propose improvements to the PPM program to address issues that have not been covered already
- Ensure that accurate records are kept of work activities on the CMMS details to include fault description and actions taken to rectify
- Quick and accurate fault diagnosis, reducing equipment downtime
- Attend Operations Meetings as requested, and work with production to support the training of operatives to use machines.
- Work at all times with Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure product quality and H&S processes are adhered to

Ideally you will be apprentice-trained, or educated to at least a vocational standard in an engineering discipline - HND/HNC or C&G - and possess 3-5 years experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment. Electrically you will able to stop/isolate machinery safely, and fault find on machinery using ladder diagrams and PLC diagnostics to ascertain the issue, and either repair or escalate depending on the issue. Strong mechanical skills are preferred - hydraulics, pneumatics and chain driven systems experience a real benefit

My client pay an excellent salary and are growing fast, so this is an ideal time to join the team
