Your new company

The nurseries will be accessible with parking or have good public transport links and will get support from staff members throughout your work to ensure you can provide a high quality of care.

Your new role
As a nursery nurse bank staff you will support nurseries when there is high staff sickness, annual leave, training or a nursery just needing additional support. You will be expected to use your own initiative and show a keen interest, interact with the children, assist with the setting up and carrying out of activities for the children, go outside in the garden and encourage children to join in; with your main priority being to ensure the children are safe within the setting

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be Level 3 or Level 2 or Unqualified in childcare with relevant experience in a UK setting in the past 2 years. You will be required to provide two references from your previous experience in Early Years settings, whether it being paid work, placements of volunteer work. You will also need to have some understanding of EYFS so that when setting up activities and helping children you understand how you are developing the children's skills. It is essential that you are motivated and organised and you will need to be flexible in location so need to be able to drive or use public transport across Bristol.

What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a competitive hourly rate, based on your experience. You will receive the support you require to settle into this nurseries routine through a mixture of on the job training and classroom based. This is a great opportunity for you to learn new skills and knowledge of EYFS, work in a variety of Early Years settings and have the potential to go into long term and even permanent placements if desired.
