Person Specification - English Graduate

You will be a recent English Graduate who has a 2:1 or above and a real passion for your subject. Experience in working with children/pupils is desirable and you must have a resilient and enthusiastic personality. This role requires excellent subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate to individual pupils needs. The school are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in a career in education.

About the role - English Academic Mentor

This secondary school is looking to interview right away for an English graduate to work as a teaching assistant within the school's dynamic English department. You will work with targeted students who need additional 1:1 or small group support. You will gain a fantastic insight into what it takes to be a teacher and a unique opportunity to build your skillset. This is a truly rewarding role where you will see students make progress thanks to your efforts and determination.

This school is part of a forward thinking trust and runs its own school direct teacher training programme. Our schools are used to supporting graduates in their first school based role, so you will be given some training before you arrive and the school will provide further training as and when required.
