FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (£30,000 - £40,000), Edinburgh City Centre Change Recruitment Group have been retained by a growing Edinburgh based SME that sit within the Hospitality sector, in their search for a new Financial Controller. This is a newly created role that’s been created through organic growth across the Group. The Group as a whole are about to embark on an exciting period of growth over the next couple of years, both in the UK and overseas. Particular areas of responsibility within the role: · Preparation of monthly management accounts · Proving financial insight to the business in a business partnering capacity · Strategic involvement to aide financial performance · Driving cost efficiencies across each site · Responsible for all transactional duties inc. invoice processing · Preparing VAT returns · Revenue recognition · Driving financial process improvements across the business Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have full autonomy and responsibility for managing and controlling the financial performance of this particular area of the business. In order to enjoy success within the role, you will be an assertive and driven individual, who will come with the confidence and ability to really make the role their own. From a sector perspective and given the nature of the business, those coming from either a hospitality, hotel or property background would be of particular interest but by no means essential.
