Primary Teacher job in East Sussex teaching reception on a full-time contract paying £117-£198 until July 2018

Your new company

You will be working for a single form entry primary school located on the outskirts of Heathfield, East Sussex. This school is a smaller than average primary school and has a supportive community feel.

The school is a lovely, warm and welcoming school who believe in celebrating success. They have a head teacher who is proud of their school, works with the parents and local community to make it a central part of the village. The school believes in making every child feel valued and works hard to give them all the tools they need to succeed academically as well as socially.

The pupils in this school enjoy their school day. They enjoy the fun, lively and creative activities that are on offer to them. The pupils are very proud of their school; they work hard and treat all members of staff and visitors with respect. Due to a change the teachers personnel circumstance the school now seek a reception teacher full time until July 2018.

Your new role

You will be working in a reception class in on a fixed term cover until July 2018. You will be in a class of 30 children who have TA and HLTA support. You will benefit from working in a school where the SMT supports the class teachers. The school benefits from the understanding parents who are keen to support their children's learning.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be a Primary Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAs and other people in the school.
