Application Services Manager
At CDL we are currently looking for an Application Services Manager to come and join our team based in Stockport. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary.

About the Application Services Manager role
Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will have a blend of technical and managerial experience and be passionate about everything DevOps, Infrastructure, Monitoring, and the Cloud. You will manage the delivery of CDL’S Application Services, including Web Hosting, Application Servers and associated Infrastructure, supporting delivery of services to CDL departments and clients alike.
You will be tenacious, with strong work ethic, and will have extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams. This includes staff development, planning development of individual skills within the team, identifying opportunities for staff to progress their technical skills, in line with commercial objectives. Development of personal technical expertise is key part of our values and strategy, you will to be a key voice in supporting team leaders and providing advice to Head of Technology.
What you'll do
You will further develop CDL policies, processes and tools to maximise the efficiency of the deployed systems and staff resources available, support CDL’s Information Security, IT governance and regulatory framework.
If you are a dab hand at negotiating SLA targets and ensuring support teams are delivering against the set agreed targets this role is essentially for you. A fun vibrant company to work for, no day is essentially the same.
This role will keep you active, up, about, and in communication with various departments across various technology platforms as well as external stakeholders.
What we’re looking for in our Application Services Manager
- Demonstrable experience of delivering hosted clients to enterprise clients in a secure commercial environment
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams in a technical service support environment
- Good understanding of Linux operating system, and cloud technologies such as AWS
- Experience of managing web-based and application services in service development and delivery
- Delivery of services within commercial service level framework
- Communicating with line management and management team peers
- Experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Degree or equivalent qualification
