The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be supporting all aspects of the accounting function for our UK and SA offices including accounts payable, accounts receivable and management accounts responsibilities.

Generic duties and responsibilities:

Cash and Management Accounts

• Maintaining bank accounts, processing payments and bank reconciliations

• Input to and supporting cash forecasting process

• Managing and reconciling petty cash

• Preparing and posting journals to the general ledger

• P&L analysis to support other department heads

• Maintain overheads prepayments and other balance sheet reconciliations

• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts

Accounts Payable

• Process and checking of payment runs

• Completing key supplier analysis and liaising with procurement team and suppliers as required

• Reconciling supplier statements

• General AP support as required

Accounts Receivable

• Providing analysis and liaising with accounts receivable on recharge of costs to customers

Location and environment

This role will be based in Farringdon in London; however, you will work amongst a wider Finance team that is split across our Manchester, Cape Town and London offices. Background, Experience and Skills

For this role we need someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. You will be a highly numerate individual with a logical and methodical approach to your work as well as having good communication skills both written and verbal.

The successful candidate should have/be:

·Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment

·AAT Qualified (minimum)

·Part qualified ACCA/CIMA

·Excellent Excel Skills

·Excellent communication skills

·Self-motivated and able to adapt to a changing environment

·Attention to detail

·Methodical approach

·Deadline driven

Package and Logistics

·Package of up to £26k per annum (dependent on experience)

·Office located in Farringdon - great central London location
