Network Engineer

Location: Sandtoft, Doncaster, DN8 5SY

Salary:Up to £28,000 + annual bonus + company car
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated Network Engineer to be based at our Sandtoft site in Doncaster. Frequent travel across the UK will be required to support our 14 sites.

The Wienerberger group has been manufacturing quality clay building products since 1819 when we opened our first factory in Vienna, Austria. Our presence in the UK is currently larger than at any point in our near 200 year history, employing c 1200 people across our Head Office, 4 showrooms, 13 manufacturing sites and 6 distribution centres throughout the UK. We manufacture in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets.

Job Outline:

This a fantastic opportunity for someone with a general IT background who is looking to progress in their career. On the job training and mentoring will be available as well as an opportunity to gain official qualifications.

The role will involve maintaining and enhancing the ICT systems that allows the organisation to function and communicate, on a daily basis.

As a network engineer you'll be working towards responsibility for designing, installing and maintaining the communications, file sharing and general ICT resources used by the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

·Provide infrastructure support for all Wienerberger locations

·Working on (and on occasion taking responsibility for) agreed infrastructure projects

·Performing and monitoring backups / Test restores

·Installation, setup, analysis and reporting of infrastructure monitoring systems

·Maintaining accurate information regarding network structure

·Group policy & Active Directory Management

·IP address management

·Telephony / PBX Management

·Assist the helpdesk in troubleshooting hardware / software related issues through to proposal, resolution

Skills & Experience:

·HND / Degree level or similar IT qualification relevant to the area of work.

·Exposure to virtualised technology such as VMWare, Hyper-V is desirable.

·Good problem solver and works well under own initiative.

·Good at organising and multitasking.

·Excellent people skills and good communicator.

·A dedication to continually update knowledge.

·Able to work well under pressure.

The candidate must be flexible in approach and have a strong desire to learn and progress their skills.

A valid driving license is essential.
