As a Nursery Nurse you will support the management team in the smooth running of the nursery, providing a high standard of care to the children placed in the care of the Nursery.


Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staffTo keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents/carersWork with parents/carers of special needs children to give full integration in the SettingSupport all staff and engage in a good staff teamLiaise with and support parents/carers and other family membersTo be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, fundraising eventsTo be flexible within working practices of the Setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilledRecording accidents in the accident book. Ensure the manager has initialled the report before the parent receives itEnsure child is collected by someone known to SettingTo respect the confidentiality of information receivedTo develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key workerSkills and Experience

Previous experience of caring for, or working with children aged 0-5 in a voluntary or paid capacityAn understanding of the Early Learning GoalsKnowledge of the National Standards for the regulation of Childcare provisionA commitment to the provision of high quality childcareA positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunitiesIf you are interested in this role, please contact one of the team on 01223 298 100.
