We are looking for a Production Engineering Manager who enjoys working as part of a team to help realise our growth plans. We are looking for an analytical problem solver, a manager who can take ownership, anticipates and overcomes obstacles, works collaboratively and embraces change.
As a Production Engineering Manager, you will be expected to fully lead all manufacturing engineering, encompassing capitol and process development projects, providing superior technical support.
You will be managing a team of engineers who are responsible for installation, maintenance and improvement of efficiencies throughout the product lifecycle; launch of new products, maintaining existing production processes and identifying and implementing process improvements. You will have budgetary responsibility for your department.
The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or an equivalent level in Engineering / Manufacturing discipline.
You will have previous experience working within a precision engineering, CNC metal cutting or manufacturing environment ideally in the automotive industry.
Professional accreditation with an industry related body would be advantageous
Working knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD
Ability to design processes and layouts
Experience of DFMEA, APQP, PPAP & FMEA
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma
New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production
Experience of leading and managing a team
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills will be critical to your success in the role. We’ll also expect you to have the motivation to embrace continuous improvement along with strong communication, project management and interpersonal skills.
