Relief (Bank) Home Care Worker

Are you looking for a working pattern that suits your commitments? Could you make a real difference to the lives of people? Experience not essential.

We are recruiting to increase our bank of Relief Home Care Workers in the Cardiff, Newport and Vale of Glamorgan Areas, to support Adults with care and support in their own homes. There will be no expectation for you to follow a set working pattern, instead you would work as needed when our regular staff are on holiday, on sick leave or during other periods of additional need. Shifts offered can include days, evenings, nights and weekends, but it would be at your discretion should you choose to pick up the work offered to you.

1st Grade Care started off in 2011, providing our care service to three individuals within their own homes, fast forward to 2017, we now provide approximetly 250,000 care visits, we use cutting edge technology and most importantly have an amazing team of dedicated staff, providing care and support to people with a variety of care needs who wish to reside in their own homes.

Your working day might include providing personal care, shopping, cleaning, preparing meals and washing up, assisting people in or out of bed. This isn't always an easy job, but you'll get full free training and if you join us, you'll find out just how rewarding it is.

About you

We welcome people with previous experience in the care sector, but this is not essential. If you have a driving license, access to your own vehicle, are caring, creative and a patient person then you have the qualities needed for this job, and we will provide all the training, day-to-day assistance and back-up you'll need.

1st Grade Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This post will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, together with all other relevant recruitment and right to work checks. Where relevant, candidates from outside the EU will need to produce a biometric residency permit. Additionally, any successful candidate who has spent six months of more outside the UK (as an adult) within the last five years will need to obtain an overseas police check.

Company Description1st Grade Care was incorporated in 2011 with the objective of providing high quality domiciliary care services, during this period the company started out in the Vale of Glamorgan with just four members of staff and soon built a quality reputation with service users and local authorities alike, many of whom remain clients of ours to this day.

In order for 1st Grade Care to operate effectively and efficiently a head office was established and split into three departments including, Payroll, Accounts and Quality Assurance, all containing staff who specialise in their field.

Since 2011 1st Grade Care have employed in excess of 300 members of staff and now operates with a team of hugely experienced people.
