Job description:

Our Client is looking for a Data network engineer with strong Cisco network experience across a multitude of platforms including security appliances, switching, routing and wireless.
To support a high quality and efficient network service, supporting staff and officers working from a variety of council offices, mobile and remote locations, exploiting network technologies and management support systems.
To identify underlying problems within the network which are causing incidents to be raised and to propose, design and implement resolutions in a timely manner to these problems.
To keep up to date with technology within the data, voice, and mobile communications arena and undertake any necessary research into possible uses of such technology for the benefit of clients.
• Solid understanding of Cisco internetworks, routing and switching and related protocols, LAN/WAN. Security, firewalls, load balancers and wireless required
• Strong fault finding and problem solving abilities
• Willingness to work extra hours as operational needs dictate.
• Customer focused
At least CCNP qualified candidate required
• Citrix Netscaler experience preferable
• High level Network design experience required


Cisco Routers


Experience in Cisco products PIX firewall, 2500, 2600 series routers and Cisco VPN software


Diagnostic & Fault Finding Work


Must Have A Good Understanding Of Engineering Design Issues.


System Design Skills


IT Networking,MS Office environment,Desktop/Laptop Hardware,Windows & Exchange servers,Blackberry Services,Printing services
