Senior Associate - Corporate Tax

Working alongside private businesses, our Senior Associates share their clients’ stories as they grow. They experience what it’s like to deliver value over the long term and make a meaningful contribution to their successes by helping them solve problems and manage risks.
About the roleExperience of delivering advisory and compliance work to private businesses is required, as well as the kind of skills that any Senior Associate in practice would be expected to display: portfolio management, delegation, day-to-day client handling etc. A track record of work-winning is highly desirable. We may consider those whose experience is heavily skewed towards private client work, but ideally we are looking for corporate/mixed tax backgrounds. You will also be expected to show an awareness of wider business and economic issues generally.
The roles will predominately be to support the senior team in servicing existing clients and growing the business. In addition to becoming involved with existing clients, an enthusiasm to win work and build the business is key. Projects will be varied and wide ranging, so for example from outbound expansion to shareholder planning to transactions to innovation-based tax reliefs.
You will receive full support from the Partners, Directors and Senior Managers and from internal technical specialists based in the region and nationally.

Essential skills and experience
Practice-trained finance professional with a relevant professional qualification (eg ACA/ACCA/CTA)
Experience of advising privately-owned businesses on a variety of tax matters
Proven skills in portfolio management, delegation and assignment management credentials
Strong interpersonal skills including experience of client handling and sustaining relationships over a period of time
Business acumen, in terms of an interest in and understanding of broader business issues and an enthusiasm for developing this further in the private business market
Analytical skills and a ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative and creative way.
