Finance Business Partner
Hudson Accountancy & Finance are working exclusively with Calmac Ferries to secure a Finance Business Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Finance Business Partner will provide support to the Asset Management Executive Director, in what will be a varied and challenging role. This opportunity will sit in the heart of a high profile and commercial programme, working with the department’s core business and a portfolio of projects under the transition programme. Key duties: Deliver insightful monthly reporting back for the executive area business plan and budget, delivering outputs aligned to defined planning and reporting team process Support headcount planning, key expenditure phasing by providing end to end commercial finance support for business areas Planning forecast updates supporting content for quarterly business review presentation packs reviewed with executive and delivered to deadlines Support change programme, provide governance and lead commercial finance work stream for project implementation life cycle tracking ROI benefits as part of business case Track project spend during delivery and align benefit realisation impact into forecast cycle Ensure month end tasks are completed on time as defined by accounting team Key responsibilities: Be a trusted business partner for the Executive Director and key stakeholders. Providing added value through insightful, challenge and support. Utilising commercial awareness of key business and financial risks impacting the department and driving remedial action. Support the team in all areas of planning, reporting, accounting and analysis, with shared commitment to meet deadlines Work closely with other Finance Business Partners to drive continuous process improvement, standardisation and innovation Experience and Qualifications: A qualified accountant with at least 5 years post qualifying experience Demonstrable experience and success within a similar business partnering role, with a preference engineering sector Desire to support change project initiatives to successful out come, innovative thinking to find solution to issues Excellent communication skills, influencing and building relationships with finance colleagues within a positive environment of professional development and success If you are interested in this vacancy please contact Greg McDermott in our Glasgow office.
