Discover a career in Community Banking

Would you describe yourself as a people-person? Do you enjoy helping others solve problems? If you’re a natural leader and are interested in the world of banking, why not work with one of the UK’s best-known high street brands? Join us on the Lloyds Banking Group Community Banking Graduate Leadership Programme.

With over 25 million people using our products and services across the UK, we want to be the best bank for customers and help Britain prosper. Our Community Banking teams help us do this on the high street, on the phone and online, through our iconic brands Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland. And, as part of a transforming industry, we’re excited about using new technologies to innovate and adapt our services for customers. That’s why we’re looking for people with strengths, passions and interests of every kind to help lead the face of our business as we become a financial organisation of the future.

What you’ll do

This two-year programme will give you the experience you need to meet our customers’ needs, and progress your career. You’ll complete three, eight-month placements in Customer, Specialist and Leadership areas that will take you to different locations around the UK. While learning about our customers, their needs, and how we support and manage our teams, you’ll also build the skills to become a future leader by leading projects, or helping shape our business strategy. You’ll experience the full variety of our customer-facing business, and take part in initiatives that give back to communities too.

Your development

The size of Lloyds Banking Group means there are plenty of opportunities for you to learn and grow. We’ll empower you to apply your passions and strengths to the world of work – and inspire you to discover new ones. You’ll receive the development tools and support you need so you can develop yourself and the career you want, includingmentoring, digital espressos, internal Ted-style talks, helping Britain prosper challenges, and more. You’ll also study for the Chartered Banker qualification.

Entry requirements

We accept a 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university, and welcome a diversity of individuals – from DIY enthusiasts to art lovers and sports fans. Everything you bring to Lloyds Banking Group enriches what we offer to our customers and the community.

We also offer flexible working and a huge range of benefits, so you can build a reward package that suits you – including private medical benefits and discounted financial products.

Join us, and be empowered to make an impact in your own way.
