My client is an established fabrication and machining company who supply specialist product to the oil & gas and subsea sector. They have an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. You will be tasked with planning, designing and coordinating methods for the manufacture of components using modern tooling technology. Your duties will include: - structuring, planning and programming of machine tools - source new tooling and design fixturing - improving manufacturing methods and reducing set-up and run-times - implement change requests - provide engineering support for shop floor machine tools - troubleshooting programming issues - production of work orders and routings To be given serious consideration for this role, candidates should be a time-served engineer with experience in the precision engineering sector. You will have knowledge of 5 axis turning machines and vertical/horizontal boring machines. You will have the ability to programme a variety of machine tools and control systems including Mazatrol, Fanuc and Siemens. You will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD for the design of tooling and fixtures.
