Systems Administrator



Due to continued growth, LES are on the lookout for an experienced Systems Administrator with a proven track record of undertaking 1st and 2nd line technical support, maintenance & development of company IT infrastructure.

Reporting to the Head of IT, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting internal users based in Bolton, together with external Clients across the country. This is a rich and varied role encompassing many different technologies supporting all departments within the business.

Systems Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain servers and storage environments, including monitoring and reporting
  • Resolving systems, software, application and hardware issues
  • Configuring, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and software to ensure optimal desktop and server performance
  • Back up monitoring and reporting
  • Provide systems training to internal users
  • Create and maintain up to date documentation
  • 1st & 2nd line support to colleagues & Clients
  • Management & control of RingCentral phone system
  • Software testing, evaluation & demonstration
  • To liaise with software & hardware partners on product development
  • Desktop Standard Operating Environment
  • Automation of User Onboarding/Offboarding
  • VPN tunnel setup and troubleshooting
  • Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, routers and switches
  • Good understanding of Mobile Applications
  • Maintenance of Office 365 infrastructure
  • Systems Administrator Required Skills/experience:

    • Flexible, hands-on, and a person that enjoys working a variety of tasks
    • Great technical skill
    • Good communication skills with a customer focused attitude towards support
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks is essential
    • A positive attitude and a genuine interest in current & future technologies
