Finance Manager, Aberdeen University Students Association (AUSA) An opportunity has risen for a savvy Finance Manager to join AUSA. Job summary: As the Finance Manager, you will be working with a full time staff team of 15 staff, 5 sabbatical officers and part-time student staff during term time. As part of the senior management team, no two days are the same, so you should enjoy change and working in a fast paced environment. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: We require an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated leader with solid experience in managing the finances of a small but diverse organisation with a commitment to deliver excellent services for our students. You will need to hold a professional accountancy qualification and have experience in producing management accounts and Board Level reporting. Experience of working within a charity as a Finance Manager or in similar post would be desirable but not essential. Additionally you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to deliver through others. • Excellent oral and written communication skills The ability to manage your time and the time of others effectively. • Experience in arranging and negotiating insurance for organisations. • Knowledge of current accountancy standards and awareness of FRS 102 Charity SORP • Development of business plans and supporting financial documentation • Experience working with Sage accountancy software and Sage payroll management
