Our client is a major manufacturing company, established 50 years ago. They are a leading Electronic component manufacturer, and stock over 100,000 lines at their Preston distribution centre.

The Purpose of the Role

An excellent opportunity to join this dynamic and highly successful distribution company as a Web Product Content & SEO Team Manager has arisen. The ideal candidate would have management experience, good technical knowledge and a good understanding of SEO best practice. A passion for product data and the ability to maintain focus is an essential personal attribute for this role.

The Role

·Lead, mentor and manage a dedicated team of 5 Web Product Content & Product SEO Specialists

·Anaylse pages for factors effecting rankings and understand and manage the subtle changes that make the differences to rankings and click through rates

·Use the internal search reports plus Key Word Finders to determine the key words and synonyms

·To keep up with changes to search engine algorithms and continually improve product content

·To write engaging product content to improve the Customer’s experience and increase conversion rates and Google rankings

·To direct projects associated with product data and assets such as alternatives, ranges and attribute collection

·To liaise with the SEO Marketing Specialist to help optimise pages

What skills will you need?

·Be able to write web content for products.

·SEO Experience

·Managerial Experience

·Experience with electronic and/or electrical products is desirable

·Experience of managing and writing product and category level content for websites, making them more engaging for the benefit of the customer, improving internal search results and increasing visibility on external search engines such as Google

What will you get?

·Basic salary of £28,000 to £35,000

·Working Hours – Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm), with a 3pm finish on a Friday.
