The Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll work to repair customers’ equipment and ensure it is in perfect working order. You will provide an ‘as necessary’ field support service and will be required to travel in order to meet customer requirements and commercial commitments.

This service is a new offering for Zetes, as such, the field based aspect will expand over time. It is envisaged that the first three – six months will be spent at our workshop in Maidenhead before becoming much more widespread in time.

Specifically, you will:

- Deliver a high quality service to customers
- Perform repairs, consultancy, configuration services and maintenance as required
- Test, repair and configure handheld terminals, scanners, RF infrastructure devices and printers
- Assist our Helpdesk with troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Support, document and manage device configuration files and processes

About You:

To join our talented team, you’ll need:

- Experience of repairing and testing electronic equipment
- A full, valid driving licence
- The ability to travel nationwide and stay away overnight
- Great problem-solving skills
- An analytical approach

Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of device configuration methods and practices, particularly for Zebra, Honeywell, Datalogic and other auto ID devices. Soldering training and experience would also be beneficial, as would familiarity with Windows CE, Windows mobile and Android platforms.
