Are you a confident individual, who has a passion for analysing data and influencing commercial decisions? Do you have a sound knowledge of merchandising experience within a fast paced retail environment?

Our client is a leading clothing and outdoor retailer, who are rapidly growing across the UK, based in Sheffield. They are looking for an analytical Assistant Merchandiser - 12 Month FTC to join their team!

So what does this Assistant Merchandiser - 12 Month FTC role involve?

Your main objective is to have the right stock in the right place at the right time. You will do this by managing availability, OTIF and stock intake in line with budgeted stock-holding targets and promotional deadline dates. You will maximise sales and minimise markdown through detailed management of both branded supplier order books and own label stock intake into the DC ensuring a proactive approach is taken to keep best sellers in stock at all times and reduce stock holding on slow selling lines. Working with the Buying team you will ensure ranges are financially commercial and rolled up in line with the critical path deadlines, forecasts are produced and sent to suppliers and stock is delivered on time. You will also be responsible for the management and development of an Allocator.

So what qualities do we need from you for this Assistant Merchandiser - 12 Month FTC role?

At least 2 years of experience in a Merchandiser role

A confident person who is comfortable with pace and change and isn't put of by working in a growing business where it can be hands on

Good analytical and numerical skills

Strong influencing skills

The role requires you to work closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams as a whole, Marketing, Web, RMs, Stores, DC and Central Operations so good communication skills are vital.
