Web Developer
Ageas UK are currently recruiting for a Web Developer to join our eCommerce team based in Stoke.This is a full time permanent position, working with .NET technologies.

The successful person will develop and maintain the various web sites for Ageas Retail Limited and take an active involvement in the e-Commerce proposition development. Furthermore, you will be required to identify areas of potential efficiency and revenue gains within these websites.

Essential to this position is a strong working knowledge of .NET, C# and SQL (as a core skill set) and any exposure to an agile environment would be beneficial, although not essential.

Scope:

The scope of this role will include building new and developing existing websites for Ageas and the current portfolio of insurance brands (around 25 sites). The sites are customer facing (customers are able to obtain quotes and buy insurance products from the sites), so exposure to working with these types of sites would be ideal.

The team currently consists of 2 Senior Developers and 4 Developers

Experience:

A relevant IT related degree with proven industry experience.

Competency in the following programming languages:

.Net 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 (C#, Vb.Net, MVC/WebForms), JavaScript (native and libraries/frameworks like jQuery), XML/XSLT/XPATH, (x)HTML, CSS, AJAXCompetency in SQL/T-SQL with SQL Server 2005 or aboveGood working knowledge of Visual Studio (preferably 2015)Responsive web design with experience utilising a ‘mobile first’ approach allowing cross-browser/platform compatibilityCreation and use of web services (SOAP and RESTful architectures, .Net WCF, WebAPI)Configuration and security of Windows based IIS7 web serversKnowledge of the CDL Classic and Strata applications and its connectivity to web servers (XML)Experience with industry-leading graphics packages, including PhotoshopWorking knowledge of Google AnalyticsPersonal traits:

Able to understand and interpret dataExcellent Communication skills - written and verbalProfessional, self-motivated, analytical, organised and able to problem solve effectivelyAble to build strong relationships.
