My established client, a leader in their field are looking for a maintenance engineer to work at their facility in Bristol.
You will be required to work a rotating weekly shift pattern between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday. In return you will be entitled to 33 days annual leave per year, enhanced pension scheme, free parking and employee assistance scheme.
Responsibilities include:
• Support unplanned downtime on production equipment by taking appropriate action to bring the equipment back in to service in the minimum time possible.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance, following the planned maintenance schedules
• Organise external preventative maintenance, following the planned maintenance schedules.
• Complete planned calibration of production gauges, following calibration schedules.
• Complete planned PAT tests, following PAT testing schedules.
• Complete assigned maintenance improvement actions to agreed plan.
• Support the analysis of existing machinery to identify actions to prevent downtime.
• Ensure company engineering change control procedures are followed for any changes to production processes.
• Support other factory plant & equipment to support efficient factory operation.
• Factory opening and lock up as agreed to defined procedures.
• Identify and implement appropriate improvements to the maintenance methods and procedure as agreed with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
• Keep work colleagues up-to-date with appropriate maintenance methods and procedures.
• Identify own training requirements to achieve minimum standards of performance.
• Actively contribute to new product and process introduction.
• Attend maintenance team meetings.
• Provide clear communication across shifts between all team members and production staff.
• Provide data to support Maintenance team KPI generation.
Qualifications/Experience Required
• Qualified to a minimum NVQ level 4 in an applicable engineering discipline or considerable broad engineering experience. (Mechatronic)
• Able to use, monitor & diagnose PLC programs.
• Experience of using preventative maintenance systems
• Demonstrable continuous improvement experience.
• Desirable, 17th Edition qualified.
• Desirable, able to use, monitor & diagnose robotics.
