Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Account Manager (hospital-based), SW England

We are currently seeking candidates with previous experience of selling negative pressure wound therapy products to healthcare professionals at secondary care level in the following geographical area:

SR 4364 South West England (Gloucestershire to Cornwall, across to Berkshire)

The company in question is a global medical products and technologies company focused on providing therapies for the management of chronic conditions, including ostomy care, continence and critical care, and infusion devices. In this interesting role you will be responsible for selling their market leading portfolio of negative pressure wound therapy products calling on members of the surgical team (Consultants, scrub nurses, theatre manager) , clinical nurse specialists (TVN's/vascular), procurement, finance and relevant ward staff (for training). Duties & responsibilities will include:

- Delivering sales targets across territory
- Championing change with procurement and clinical management using clinical data and business proposals
- Developing strong business relationships with key Surgeons, Theatre Managers, Procurement leads & where appropriate, hospital management
- Holding clinical meetings/training sessions to showcase and demonstrate products ensuring their safe & effective usage
- Working closely with regional matrix colleagues / clinical specialists to maximize cross-business sales opportunities
- Being competent in the operating theatre environment in supporting and training teams in the safe and effective use of our product
- Demonstrating in-depth clinical and product knowledge within key indication areas
- Producing specific account growth plans detailing actions and resources by building comprehensive Business plans aligned to the matrix team
- Maximising the clinical access to key brands through formulary inclusions or clinical guidelines
- Driving and supporting product implementation across care settings
- Initiating and driving (hospital/community) product evaluations through liaisons with key clinical decision makers and working with Medical Affairs colleague / clinical specialists.
- Supporting the development of business cases for financing of products through liaison with key clinical decision makers in conjunction with HDMs
- Facilitating the development of localised case studies and evaluations for dissemination and publication by supporting the local Medical Affairs specialist / clinical specialists
- Planning and implementing local study/educational activity to raise awareness of the therapy areas and build platform for sales opportunities.

Applicants wishing to be considered should meet the following criteria:

- Already live on territory - due to our client's requirement for individuals with existing territory knowledge unfortunately we will be unable to accept applications from candidates who wish to relocate
- Preferably hold a degree level qualification in a life science or business based subject
- Current or previous experience of selling negative pressure wound therapy products on part of this territory is essential
- Hold a full UK driving license (with 6 points or fewer); please note we cannot accept applications from individuals with a prior driving ban
- Eligible to work in the UK on a full time, permanent basis - unfortunately we will not be able to consider candidates requiring sponsorship.
