English Teacher (Pupil Referral Unit) Bexley Full time position January start On-site parking MPS2 - UPS1 Pay scale A secondary PRU for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties are looking for an English teacher to start in January. As an English Teacher, you will be required to teach up to GCSE English and be able to plan engaging sessions that accommodate all student's needs. English teachers should be able to deploy support staff effectively and have experience supporting students with a range of Special Needs. The ideal English teacher: Has experience teaching English up to GCSE level 1 years UK based experience teaching the secondary age group Has QTS (applicants without QTS will not be considered for this role) Can use a range of behaviour management techniques Has experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in Special needs school or a PRU setting This PRU aims to provide high quality education and behaviour intervention programmes for pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. They aim to provide inclusive learning by identifying barriers to learning and implementing strategies to break these barriers down. They offer a huge range of CPD opportunities and have excellent facilities and therapies on-site. As they are part of a larger federation, there is opportunities to move across sites to observe best practice from other teachers.
