Assistant Management Accountant

Your new role
The main purpose of your new role will be produce timely and accurate management accounting information and oversee the transactional finance function. More specifically this will include:
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Overseeing sales ledger and purchase ledger functions.
Posting prepayments, accruals and journals.
Manage, prepare and reconcile inter-company recharges.
Comparison of actual performance to budget and forecast, with detailed financial analysis of variances.
Assistance with the preparation of year-end financial packs to audit standard, including the liaison with the Group auditors.
Assisting with annual budgeting process and rolling quarterly forecasts.
Ensuring accurate project income and expenditure classification, together with accurate month end reporting in this area.
Producing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
Ad hoc assignments and project work as required by the Management Accountant and Financial Controller.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have significant previous experience within a commercial management accounting role and be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification. You will be immediately available or available on short notice. You will have understanding on complex budget control and a logical and analytical mindset.
