How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You’ll lead Agile development teams in the creation of high-quality software products to meet customer and commercial needs, in accordance with defined standards, best practice and agreed deadlines. You’ll mentor your teams and take responsibility for the timely delivery of projects, iterations and other work packages, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the technology strategy and processes.
We’ll want you to drive automation and remove as many manual steps through DevOps adaptations to current processes, and help drive Agile maturity across teams.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
We’ll want you to have a deep understanding of Agile ways of working and be confident coaching teams in Scrum and Kanban. You’ll have a proven track record in building agile software development teams, attracting top software development talent and leading high performing teams.
You’ll have a software engineering background with knowledge of developing online large scale transactional processing systems in Java. You’ll have experience from an online environment with the various security and scale challenges this poses, as well as a thorough understanding of the various common software development lifecycles. You will also have experience with the following tools; XP, TDD, automated builds, continuous integration and deployment, Jenkins and Jira/ Confluence.
