Job Title - Real Estate Underwriting Manager
Contract - Permanent
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000
Location - Hampshire
Industry - Insurance Broker (Insurance, Underwriting, Property Owners, Real Estate)

Our client is currently seeking a Real Estate Underwriting Manager - To achieve regional income and profit objectives by managing the technical performance of the branch account and by delivering an efficient case underwriting service to brokers.

-Contribute towards the development of the branch plan and subsequently implement the underwriting elements to achieve financial income and loss ratio objectives, agreed technical standards and customer service standards;
-Maintain personal knowledge of relevant technical issues;
-Ensure that Company underwriting philosophies and procedures are understood and followed in the region;
-Manage, motivate and develop the underwriting staff under the job holder's control and oversee the development of the underwriters' technical skills by delivering technical training and guidance;
Undertake referral cases above the authority levels of underwriters under the job holder's control and control the flow of work to ensure that service standards are achieved;
-Assist the Regional Underwriting Manager to manage the branch account to ensure the company objectives are met;


-ACII - ideally;
-Understanding of trade processes and hazards;
-Analysis skills;
-Relevant law and legislation;
-Rating skills;
-Underwriting principles and rating methods;
-Company underwriting philosophies and standards;
-Principles of reinsurance;
-Company reinsurance arrangements and contracts;
-Management systems.
