The Opportunity

Macildowie Marketing are currently partnering with a successful Financial Services organisation located in Nottinghamshire to recruit a talented SEO specialist to join a growing Marketing department.

The SEO specialist will deliver the on-site and off-site SEO Strategy for a leading business division. Working closely with the Head of Digital Marketing, this will largely be a hands-on role where you will maximize organic search traffic, conversion and return on investment, whilst adhering to best practice optimisation techniques.

The SEO Specialist will sit within a newly formed team and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make the switch from agency to in-house, or an SEO manager looking for a new challenge because you will get autonomy on the organic strategy and receive the full support of the team and management board.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop and manage the SEO plan whilst maintaining strong relations with internal teams, delivering industry-leading insights, analysis and outreach campaigns
-Conduct in-depth and regular audits of sites and competitor performance analysis
-Track, report and analyse SEO performance campaign data from SEO campaigns and strategies
-Be the go to person for ALL things SEO within the business
-Collaborate with the wider Sales and Marketing team to identify opportunities and areas for growth
-Be up to date on all the latest industry updates and algorithm changes

Key Experience Required

-Proven track record in a specific SEO focused role with strong understanding of link building, best practices and effective strategies
-Several years of SEO experience, particularly in lead generation
-Proven ability to work with design, content, and development teams
-High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
-Conversion rate optimisation, UX/UI an distinct advantage
-Mobile optimisation desirable

Technical skills required:

*Google Analytics and Search Console
*Technical understanding of website usability, structured data, XML sitemaps, website performance, crawl optimisation and content
*A strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, server logs, (client-side) scripting and DOM rendering
*Strong analytical skills with Excel and other tools
*Experience in the wider online marketing channels such as AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, influencer marketing
*Screaming Frog, Majestic, Ahrefs and third party rank checking tools
